The Purfleet Trust (registered charity number 1037276) is a local charity that supports those that are either homeless, or vulnerable housed, within the King’s Lynn & West Norfolk area. We acknowledge that homelessness is something that can happen to anyone and we are committed to developing opportunities to work with our clients to improve their life chances. We believe that everyone has the right to live in a decent, suitable and affordable homes, and should have access to services that support and enable them to live independently.

At the Trust we run a day centre provision, offering services to support our clients with their health & wellbeing, alongside providing essentials such as hot meals, clothing, shower facilities, access to phone/internet connections etc. We manager 6 training houses around King’s Lynn – where clients are able to stay up to 2 years whilst being supported during their pathway to independence.

Over the past year during lockdown, we have found that our clients have struggled with isolation and their wellbeing has been affected by this – many of our clients have found a passion and focus around fitness to tackle this and thrown themselves into meaningful activities; such as rambling and the use of our on-site gym.

The funding raised from our walking4norfolk challenge will help to continue our services within the health and wellbeing centre – enabling our clients to use these vital services within the future.

Any support you are able to provide is greatly appreciated and will go to a great cause!
